The Browns’ pass rusher wasn’t very subtle.
There is no love lost between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, and apparently Myles Garrett had a lot to say about Steelers’ star T.J, Watt when speaking to the media. Garrett made light of the fact that T.J. Watt posted “Nothing I’m not used to” on X prior to the NFL Awards, hinting that he hadn’t won the Defensive Player of the Year.
“I’ve never complained about the trophy not being at my house,” Garrett said. “You shouldn’t be feeling two ways about it going to me.”
Watt’s response was a classy one, not taking any jabs back at Garrett.
“Obviously [he’s] a guy who’s been a top pass rusher in the league for a long time,” Watt said. “But I don’t compete directly against him. It’s our team vs. their team. At the end of the day, I just want the Pittsburgh Steelers to come out with a win.”
It’s no surprise at all that Watt handled this the way he did. His play will do the talking on Thursday night.
