Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett wasted no time issuing a stern warning to new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
After nearly three months of waiting, the Steelers finally got an answer from Aaron Rodgers, who put off retirement for at least another year to join the AFC North club. Rodgers signed a one-year deal worth $13.65 million, though it includes incentives that could push it to $19.5 million, per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.
With Rodgers joining the Steelers, Mr. Garrett’s job got a lot more difficult. As if defending against Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals) and two-time MVP Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) wasn’t hard enough.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, however, Myles Garrett expressed excitement over the opportunity to face the four-time league MVP.
“I think it’s a good opportunity to put him in the graveyard,” said, ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi.

For those who aren’t familiar, Garrett has a special Halloween tradition where he puts up tombstones in his backyard, featuring the names of every quarterback he’s sacked. Garrett includes the quarterbacks’ jersey numbers and team logos on each tombstone:

Myles Garrett and Aaron Rodgers have only met once thus far, back in Week 16 of the 2021 season. Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a 24-22 victory, and Garrett failed to record a sack in that game.
Rodgers was absent from the Browns-Packers 2017 meeting due to injury. Backup QB Brett Hundley led Green Bay to a 27-21 overtime win, and the Browns went on to finish that season 0-16.
For those anxious to see the Rodgers-Garrett matchup, circle Oct. 12 and Dec. 28 on your calendars. The first meeting will take place at Acrisure Stadium (1:00 p.m. EST) before wrapping up their season series at Huntington Bank Field in Week 17 (1:00 p.m. EST).
