With free agent receiver Tyreek Hill still recovering from the brutal left knee injury he suffered as member of the Dolphins last September, the eight-time Pro Bowler is not a lock to play in 2026. Nevertheless, Hill remains on the NFL radar. “Multiple teams” have shown interest in Hill, a member of his camp told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
It is unclear which clubs have checked in on Hill, though Fowler reports the 32-year-old remains “very fond of Kansas City and the Chiefs.” Hill began his career as a fifth-round pick of the Chiefs in 2016. He went to six Pro Bowls, took home first-team All-Pro honors three times and won a Super Bowl in a Chiefs uniform, but they shipped him to the Dolphins for a draft pick haul in March 2022.
Hill recorded eye-popping production in his first two years in Miami, where he put up consecutive 119-catch, 1,700-plus-yard seasons from 2022-23. Those numbers dipped to 81 and 959, respectively, in 2024, and last year’s injury held him to four games.
Hill underwent surgery after tearing multiple ligaments, including his ACL, and dislocating his knee. Now roughly 10 months removed from the procedure, he indicated this week he still has a ways to go in his recovery. Hill said he has “no power” in his left leg, which is especially concerning for a player whose elite explosiveness helped him pile up 819 catches, 11,363 yards and 90 touchdowns (83 receiving, seven rushing) over his first 10 seasons.
In addition to wondering if he can regain anything close to his pre-injury form, teams with interest in Hill have to monitor troubling allegations against him. Hill’s ex-wife accused him of eight separate acts of domestic violence last September. The NFL began investigating Hill in December. The league has not handed down any discipline almost eight months later, though that could change. Hill has also been the subject of league investigations in the past, including for alleged child abuse in 2019 and an altercation with a Miami-area marina worker in 2023, but he dodged suspensions in those instances.
