Quick… name the three most annoying players in the NFL. Without even thinking about it for more than a second or two, there is a very good chance that one of those three players is atop the list of “most annoying players in the NFL” that were chosen in a survey of 3,058 NFL fans across the United States. Heck, there’s probably a real good chance you named each one of the top three.

The online poll, commissioned by The Action Network and conducted by Research Without Barriers from Aug. 14-19, did produce a few surprises. Just none of them were at the top of the list.

The most annoying players in the NFL are…

For the second year in a row, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was voted the most annoying player in the NFL. A whopping 24 percent of the 3,058 fans surveyed picked the new Pittsburgh Steelers signal caller.

Coming in second is another no-brainer: Travis Kelce. It will be interesting to see if the percentage of NFL fans who find him the most annoying (17 percent) goes up now that he is engaged to Taylor Swift. The 2025 NFL season will for sure be very interesting in that regard.

In third place is another name that should come as little surprise to NFL fans: Patrick Mahomes. 11 percent chose the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, which likely stems from three things: the fact that all he does is win, his flopping and all the calls his team gets from the refs, and, most of all, his very, very annoying family.

Rounding out the top five most annoying players in the NFL are Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott at 6 percent (merely playing for the Cowboys probably added a couple of percentage points), and Odell Beckham Jr. (who isn’t even signed to an NFL at the moment) with 5 percent of the vote.

More fun facts

Interestingly, among 18 to 24-year-old NFL fans, Travis Kelce was voted the most annoying with 22 percent, closely followed by Patrick Mahomes at 21 percent. Aaron Rodgers came in third with that group with just 10 percent of the vote.

Even more interesting, Steelers fans picked Aaron Rodgers as the most annoying player in the NFL. Have fun this season, Pittsburgh!

Perhaps not surprisingly, Green Bay Packers fans chose Rodgers as the most annoying player with a whopping 43 percent of their votes. What could be surprising is the fact that Chicago Bears fans only chose Rodgers with 38 percent of their vote.
