Monday Night Football thread: Jake Moody could kick off to Deebo Samuel tonight

The NFL is doing the thing where they have two games on Monday night. The first one between the Atlanta Falcons and the Buffalo Bills is underway. On the first play from scrimmage, Bijan Robinson fumbled, but the Bills were lined up offsides.

That game is expected to be higher scoring. Drake London thrives against zone coverage. He also has his best games without fellow wide receiver Darnell Mooney in the lineup. The Bills’ defense also allows the most explosive runs in the NFL. It’s not a great matchup against Robinson and an underrated back in Tyler Allgeier.

We know Josh Allen is going to move the ball against the Falcons’ defense. It’ll come down to them converting in the red zone. It’s the one flaw with the Bills’ offense. They settle for field goals on the road.

Deebo Samuel is active for the Washington Commanders in the second game. Jake Moody was activated from the practice squad by the Chicago Bears. That means Moody will kick off to Samuel, who is once again having an impressive year as a returner.

Samuel was dealing with a heel injury, so Washington may take him off special teams, especially with as many injuries as the Commanders have had at wide receiver. Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown were ruled out.

Samuel and Moody have a history. We’re rooting to see another interaction between the two tonight.
