There’s Monday Night Football tonight with a rematch from last season’s playoffs between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, this time at Lambeau Field. It’s fair to say the stakes are pretty high in this NFC matchup, with both Super Bowl contenders trying to avoid their third loss of the season and questions about their legitimacy as title hopefuls.
As we look ahead to our NFL picks for this Monday Night Football matchup, one team seems to have a pretty clear edge at Lambeau Field.
In his first seven games this season, Saquon Barkley averaged just 3.3 yards per carry and jus 72 scrimmage yards per game. He then broke free in Week 8 against New York, putting up 150 rushing yards with a 10.7 yards-per-carry average and tacking on 24 receiving yards with 2 total touchdowns o 19 touches. We think another two-touchdown game with 150-plus scrimmage yards is coming on Monday Night Football.

Entering Week 10, Green Bay’s defense has allowed a 4.4 yards-per-carry average in its last six games. On top of that, it has allowed the sixth-highest Rushing Success Rate (45.3 percent) since Week 3. Barkley is going to rip off some big runs tonight and cause issue for Green Bay as a pass-catcher.
Jordan Love is having the best season of his career to this point. The 27-year-old quarterback enters Monday Night Football with a 13-3 TD-INT line, the sixth-best ESPN QBR (72.5) in the NFL, and by far the highest completion rate (70.8 percent) of his career. Unfortunately, his first full game without top target Tucker Kraft is ill-timed with Green Bay facing a top passing defense.

Through eight games, Philadelphia has allowed the fourth-lowest average QB rating (81.7), and both the third-lowest completion rate (59.3 percent) and passing touchdown rate (3 percent). That all came before Howie Roseman added edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. Jalen Carter will collapse the interior pocket, Quinyon Mitchell blankets Romeo Doubs, and Cooper DeJean takes away the slot. It results in a season-worst performance for Love on Monday night.
It’s been a frustrating season for A.J. Brown, as evidenced by his name repeatedly popping up in NFL rumors last week. However, Philadelphia opted to keep him, and we anticipate Jalen Hurts taking advantage of the matchups Brown will have on Monday Night Football. We expect Brown to routinely win his matchups when covered by Keisean Nixon, who has allowed 317 receiving yards and a 97.8 QB rating this season when targeted (29 receptions on 46 targets). When Green Bay starts focusing a little too much on trying to contain Barkley following early success, Brown beats the Packers’ secondary deep with his third game this season recording 100-plus receiving yards and a touchdown.
