Can the Browns keep playing spoiler?

The Cleveland Browns are flying off the high of their upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers last week all the way to Mile High to face the Denver Broncos. Can they keep sneaking wins against playoff teams?

The Browns at 3-8 aren’t really playing for anything more than their pride and jobs. That didn’t stop them from beating the Ravens and Steelers in their last five games. Next on the docket is the Broncos, occupying the last Wild Card spot in the AFC.

Cleveland’s defense has been a driving force in its wins. A guy like Myles Garrett certainly makes life easier for everyone else. They haven’t been a top unit, but they keep the offense in games.

Since taking over for Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston has been at least fun to watch at quarterback. He is the same mix of extremely good and extremely bad, but the rollercoaster is fun to watch.

The Broncos have been a fairly surprising team. The defense has been stellar, and rookie quarterback Bo Nix has played well enough to reach seven wins on the season already. It may come down to how well the Browns' defense can contain Nix, who loves to leave the pocket to pick up yards or buy time for his receivers.

FanDuel Sportsbook currently has the Broncos as 6.5-point favorites. The total points are set at 41.5, so they aren’t expecting a high-scoring affair.
