The Lions will face both of these teams in the next 18 days, as they’ll travel to Philadelphia in Week 11 for a “Sunday Night Football” matchup, then host the Packers in Week 13 on Thanksgiving Day. For Lions fans looking to get an idea of where each of these upcoming opponents stands, this game could serve as a good measuring stick of their progress.
Additionally, as Jeremy Reisman pointed out in his NFC Playoff picture, the Lions can jump into first place in the NFC North if the Packers lose to the Eagles, so there’s some rooting interest here as well for Lions fans.
