Gang Green Nation
Monday Night Football, Week 10. Tonight the Green Bay Packers host the Philadelphia Eagles. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8:15 p.m. EST.
The Packers come into this game with a 5-2-1 record, good for first place in the NFC North. A loss tonight would drop the Packers into second place in the division, behind the Detroit Lions. The Packers are coming off a surprising loss to the Carolina Panthers last week. Prior to that loss the Packers had won three straight games.
The Packers have been a well-balanced team this season. They rank in the top ten in the NFL in yards gained and in yards allowed. The Packers stop the run very well and they have an efficient and effective passing attack. They have scored 27+ points in six of eight contests, and they have allowed no more than 18 points in five of eight contests. The Packers will be a tough opponent for the Eagles tonight.
The Eagles come into this game with a 6-2 record, good for first place in the NFC East. The Eagles have won two straight games and are coming off a 38-20 thrashing of the New York Giants last week. The Eagles have not looked much like the dominant team they were a year ago. They rank just 23rd in the NFL in yards gained and 20th in yards allowed. The one thing that has kept the Eagles winning games has been turnovers. They have the least offensive turnovers in the NFL and they have lost the turnover battle just once this season. That’s a good way to win games.
It’s the Packers and the Eagles tonight on Monday Night Football. Enjoy the game everyone.
