As teams shuffle their rosters at the start of training camp, a number of players will land on the active/physically unable to perform list. While some of these cases may come as surprises, Maliek Collins doesn’t fall into that category. The veteran defensive tackle was always destined for PUP as he recovers from his torn quad surgery. After suffering the injury in Week 13, there’s hope that Collins will be ready to go for Week 1.
Diego Pavia was one of the more notable UDFAs in this year’s class, as the Vanderbilt product finished runner-up in the Heisman voting. After missing out on the award, the QB infamously took to social media to blast voters, a move that drew plenty of criticism from both pundits and fans. While his off-the-field antics commanded headlines, Pavia ultimately went undrafted because of his size, as he measured in at 5-foot-9 during the Combine. He overcame those physical limitations during the 2025 campaign, when he won SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors after leading the conference with a 70.6% completion rate, 29 touchdown passes, and 9.4 yards per attempt.
Tyler Huntley inked a two-year extension this offseason to stick around as Lamar Jackson‘s primary backup. The competition for the QB3 gig will now come down to two players: free agent acquisition Skylar Thompson and UDFA signing Joe Fagnano.
