As teams begin to report for training camp, we’re starting to see increased movement in minor transactions:

Arizona Cardinals

Carolina Panthers

New England Patriots

Seattle Seahawks

The reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks haven’t given up hope that Charbonnet will be able to open the season with the team. Still only six months removed from the ACL tear that took Charbonnet out of the team’s playoff fight, though, he will not be available as the team opens up training camp. As a result, he has been placed on the active/physically unable to perform list so that Seattle can add another practice body to the roster.

When it was announced last month that Proctor had suffered a torn meniscus, it hadn’t been ruled out whether or not the injury could be season-ending. His placement today on injured reserve is not a positive development in that situation. According to Howard Balzer of CardsWire, if Proctor were to spend his entire rookie season on IR, the year would count against the years of his contract, but he would not get the season of credit towards vesting, which would affect both his base salary and pension. Missing the 2026 season would reportedly reduce his 2027 base salary from $1.05MM to about $930K.

The Patriots are adding one more undrafted rookie free agent to their roster in Wilson. Wilson started his collegiate career as a receiver at Hawai’i, eventually transitioning to linebacker and transferring to Arizona. He was impactful off the bench for the Wildcats, totaling three sacks and eight tackles for loss in a hybrid edge/off-ball role.
