Houston Texans
Ajani Carter underwent arthroscopic knee surgery earlier this year, leading to the Texans waiving him from their roster back in May. He later reverted to IR, which would have ended his hopes of playing a game in 2026. Now with today’s move, the cornerback can start anew elsewhere.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston, Carter is now fully recovered and ready to work out for NFL teams. The former UDFA out of Houston started his professional career with the Chiefs before catching on with Houston’s practice squad. He’s appeared in two games, with all of his snaps coming on special teams.
