We have made it through the first quarter at Croke Park in Dublin, and your Minnesota Vikings trail the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 7-3.

The Steelers, serving as the home team, got the football first after the Vikings won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. Things got off to a very nice start for the Vikings as Jalen Redmond sacked Aaron Rodgers on the first play from scrimmage, and that led to a three-and-out for the Steelers’ offense.

The Vikings then pushed into Steelers territory, and disaster nearly struck. Jordan Mason turned the corner on a run and picked up a first down, but the ball was knocked free by a Steelers’ defender. Jalen Ramsey recovered the loose ball and appeared to return it for a 60-yard touchdown for Pittsburgh, but it was ruled that Mason had touched the ball with a leg out of bounds, which made it a dead ball, and the Vikings retained possession.

The Vikings took advantage of the second chance, as Will Reichard connected on a 41-yard field goal to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead.

Pittsburgh put together a nice drive on its second possession, capping things with a 1-yard touchdown run for Kenneth Gainwell to make it 7-3 with less than a minute left in the quarter.

As we move to the second quarter of play, the Vikings are looking at a 1st-and-10 from the Pittsburgh 47-yard line after Jordan Addison’s first catch in his first game back from suspension.

The Vikings trail the Steelers 7-3 early on, but they’re into Pittsburgh territory. Come join us for the second quarter of play!
