Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers: Third Quarter Recap and Fourth Quarter Discussion

It’s time for the final fifteen minutes of football at Lambeau Field, as your Minnesota Vikings trail the Green Bay Packers by a score of 17-6, and they’re on the verge of adding more.

The Packers got the football first coming out of the locker room, as they won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half. They quickly found themselves in Minnesota territory after Jordan Love escaped the pocket and scrambled to the Minnesota 45. But the offense stalled from there and the Packers punted it away. . .or so we thought. Myles Price called for a fair catch and let it go over his head, but the ball bounced off of him and the Packers recovered the muffed punt inside the Minnesota 10. Emmanuel Wilson handled it from there, going in from one yard out for his second touchdown of the day to make it 17-6 about four minutes into the third quarter.

Minnesota’s offense then put together a quick three-and-out, and Ryan Wright once again pinned the Packers inside their own 10-yard line. Green Bay eventually punted it away with the Vikings taking over inside their own 20 after Pirce decided to fair catch the punt rather than let it bounce. Unfortunately, the Vikings’ offense went three-and-out again, featuring two more sacks of McCarthy and nearly resulting in a safety.

As we move to the fourth quarter, the Packers are looking at a 1st-and-10 from the Minnesota 29-yard line.

It’s getting late early for the purple, as they trail the Green Bay Packers by a score of 17-6 heading into the fourth quarter with the Packers appearing ready to add more. Come in and hang out with us for the final fifteen of this one and see what happens.
