Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions: Game Time, Channel, Streaming and More
Daily Norseman Daily Norseman

After taking a mini-bye, our Minnesota Vikings are back on the field this Sunday as they travel east to take on the Detroit Lions. We want everyone to be able to follow along with the action in this one, so we’re going to put all of it in one place for you.

Television Info

This one is set to kick off at the time that nine out of ten dentists recommend as the best time for NFL football to kick off, that being noon Central time on Sunday. (Don’t listen to that tenth guy, he’s a jerk.) This game will be handled by the FOX family of networks, including KMSP-9 in the Twin Cities. If you’re outside of the Twin Cities, here is this week’s map from the folks at 506 Sports. The Vikings/Lions game, which will be called by the #1 FOX team of Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady, is represented by the red area.

If you’re still outside of the red areas, you’ll have to get your broadcast from YouTube NFL Sunday Ticket.

For our men and women serving overseas. . .well, again, the government shutdown is on so I don’t know what’s happening over there and AFN isn’t updating any of their social media. It might be on, it might not. I think AFN Sports is still up and running, so check there, I guess.

Radio Info

If you’re going to be traveling or just prefer to listen to things through the magic of radio, we have updated our list of Vikings Radio Network affiliates for this season. Wherever you are in the upper Midwest, you should be covered.

If you have satellite radio, you can catch the Vikings feed on Channel 381. If you’re utilizing the SiriusXM app, you can listen on the Vikings’ permanent home there, which is Channel 820.

Referee Info

According to the folks at Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this one will be led by Clay Martin. The last Vikings game that was officiated by a Martin-led crew was also a Vikings road game against a division opponent, as they handled Minnesota’s 30-27 overtime victory over Chicago at Soldier Field last season.

Weather Info

Ford Field, much like U.S. Bank Stadium, is indoors, so the weather is not going to have any effect on today’s game. If you’re attending the game and/or partaking in any pre-game activities, it should be a pretty brisk fall day, according to our friends at WeatherNation. Temperatures will be up into the low 50s by kickoff, with winds coming out of the southwest at 5-10 miles/hour.

Betting Info

Not much change in this one from when the lines opened, folks. The Vikings are still an 8.5-point underdog, and the over/under is still sitting at 48.5 points.

Streaming Info

This is a FOX game, so I don’t believe there are any other legal streaming means outside of YouTube NFL Sunday Ticket. I don’t care about illegal streams, but if you happen...
