Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys: Final Injury Reports

Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys: Final Injury Reports
Daily Norseman Daily Norseman

Yesterday, the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys released their final injury reports ahead of their Sunday Night Football matchup in the Lone Star State. There’s been an interesting development for the home team that was just put out there, so let’s take a look at both of these reports.

Minnesota Vikings

  • RB Ty Chandler* – Questionable (Knee)
  • OT Christian Darrisaw – Questionanle (Knee)

Chandler is still in his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve. He was a full participant in practice each day this week, and if the team wants to activate him for Sunday’s game, I believe they have to move him to the active roster and make the corresponding move this (Saturday) afternoon. They opened his window on 3 December, so they have until Christmas Eve to move him to the active roster.

Darrisaw missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday before being a limited participant on Friday. His usual pattern this season has been to practice on Wednesday and then sit out on Thursday, but this week he missed both days. We’ll probably have to wait until the inactive lists come out on Sunday night to see whether or not he’ll play.

Dallas Cowboys

  • OT Tyler Guyton – Out (Ankle)
  • DE Jadaveon Clowney – Questionable (Hamstring)
  • CB Treveon Diggs – Questionable (Knee)
  • TE Jake Ferguson – Questionable (Calf)

The development that I mentioned in the opener is that, despite being listed as “questionable,” the Cowboys have reportedly decided that they’re not going to play Diggs on Sunday.

Diggs has not played since Week 6, and even with the Cowboys struggling on defense. . .only one team in the league has allowed more points this season. . .apparently the relationship between Diggs and the Cowboys has gotten so bad that they’re not going to put him on the field. Seems a bit strange, but I’m just telling you what’s being reported. That’s a good thing for the Vikings’ offense, if that’s what materializes.

Those are your final injury reports for Sunday’s contest, folks. We’ll bring you more coverage of tomorrow night’s game as we get closer to kickoff.
