Behind the Steel Curtain
The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to win their second consecutive game in Week 15 when they host the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. The contest features playoff implications for both sides, as the Steelers can get to 8-6 and hold onto the AFC North lead, while the Dolphins are looking to get to 7-7 and win their fifth straight.
The game also marks the return to Pittsburgh for Minkah Fitzpatrick. The three-time All-Pro safety was traded from the Dolphins to the Steelers in 2019, where he became one of the best safeties in the NFL over the next half-decade. The Steelers traded him back to Miami as part of the trade that brought Jonnu Smith and Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh. Fitzpatrick was asked about his first game at Acrisure Stadium as a visitor, to which he downplayed any narrative of a revenge game.
“The only reason why it’s a big week this week is because we got a game and we’ve got to win it,” Fitzpatrick said Jack Markowski of Steelers on SI.
Fitzpatrick has had a very solid season with Miami, registering 62 tackles and picking off one pass. The Dolphins currently hold the No. 11 seed in the AFC and are two games behind the No. 7 seed Houston Texans.
