The New England Patriots reported for training camp on Tuesday, and it’s clear that new head coach Mike Vrabel is looking to set the tone from the get-go. That even applies to his press conferences, where a reporter found themselves on the spot after asking Vrabel a similar question to one he answered moments beforehand.

After firing their previous head coach, Jerod Mayo, shortly after their Week 18 win over the Buffalo Bills last season, the Patriots quickly locked in on Vrabel as their new head coach target. Considering how New England only won four games last season, Vrabel has his work cut out for him.

One of Vrabel’s key goals for his first campaign as the team’s head coach will be to change the team’s culture. The foundation was laid during mandatory minicamp, but things will be taken to another level during training camp.

On Tuesday, one reporter found that out the hard way during Vrabel’s press conference. When he was asked what he believed to be a repeat question, New England’s new leader roasted the reporter with a hilarious response.

“I mean, whether you were in a coma when I answered Tom’s question, or typing on your phone, or tweeting, I don’t know,” Vrabel said. “But I spent 5 minutes answering that question, and I could go back through it, but I’d rather not.”

Everyone in New England will be held to a higher standard this year, including the media. Vrabel is looking to implement a no-nonsense culture in Foxboro, and if you ask him a question he doesn’t like, be prepared to get roasted over the flames for it.

With the team back in town, they will take the field for their first official practice on Wednesday. The practice will be open to the public, with gates opening at 9:15 a.m. ET and the action officially getting underway at 10:15 a.m. ET.
