Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed left tackle Will Campbell will not practice this week and could be out a “couple weeks.” Campbell, who reportedly suffered a MCL sprain, could potentially be placed on injured reserve, which would cause him to miss a minimum of four games.
Vrabel, however, did not go as far when asked about starting left guard Jared Wilson. Wilson, like Campbell, exited New England’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday with an injury.
“Probably too soon to tell,” Vrabel told reporters at Gillette Stadium on Monday, per the team. “See how the week of practice goes, or see how the rehab goes, and see how he responds there.”
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport on Monday morning reported Wilson suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 12 contest. Rapoport said Wilson is considered “week-to-week,” but acknowledged the hope is that Wilson’s recovery timeline will be shorter than a typical 4-to-6 week recovery.
When asked if he knew what the team’s starting offensive line might look like against the Giants, Vrabel said it was too early to tell, as well.
