PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered yet another injury during their Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns, head coach Mike Tomlin revealed on Tuesday.

Linebacker Malik Harrison suffered a bone bruise against the Browns, which could limit his availability as the team begins its preparations for its Week 18 must-win showdown with the Baltimore Ravens.

Tomlin said that he is hopeful that Harrison will be able to play against his former club, while also acknowledging that the injury may hold him back in practice.

“It may limit him at the early portions of the week, but optimistic about him, certainly, and his inclusion,” Tomlin said.

The Steelers are otherwise healthy at inside linebacker. Payton Wilson and Harrison have been splitting time next to starter and green dot communicator Patrick Queen, and Wilson would likely absorb a greater role with Harrison out, along with an elevated role for backup Cole Holcomb.

In 10 games this season, Harrison has made 36 tackles — tied for 15th on the team. He also has two tackles for loss. He missed six games with a knee injury earlier this year.
