The Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns 23-9 on Sunday but suffered several injuries to their defensive backfield late in the game.

However, head coach Mike Tomlin said in his postgame press conference that beyond the “bumps and bruises associated with play,” the only injury “of any significance” was that of safety and special teams ace Miles Killebrew, who suffered a non-contact knee injury in the second quarter.

Tomlin said Killebrew’s injury was significant and there will be more details coming out about it shortly.

Tomlin made no mention of the injuries that caused T.J. Watt, Joey Porter Jr., Brandin Echols, and Darius Slay to miss time. It’s likely a good sign for Pittsburgh as the team has less days to prepare than usual ahead of their next game.

The Steelers will next take the field on Thursday Night Football Oct. 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
