Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin now has sole possession of the league’s 10th all-time ranking in wins.

Two weeks ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers heard their home fans calling for the job of head coach Mike Tomlin. Now, after two consecutive victories, including Monday Night’s throttling of the Miami Dolphins, he has made history. With his 191st victory as the Steelers’ head coach, he has sole possession of 10th all-time in wins.

Tomlin passed former Dan Reeves after tying him last week for 10th place. He is now only two wins away from tying Chuck Noll for the most in franchise history.

He is currently second among active head coaches, trailing only Kansas City Chiefs’ Andy Reid. If you look at it from the perspective of only doing it with one team, Tomlin’s resume gets more impressive.

With just one team, he has the most wins among active NFL head coaches and ranks fourth all-time among head coaches who have coached only one team. Those names include Noll, George Hallas, and Tom Landry.

Though he has been a polarizing subject among some fans and media outlets, his resume remains strong. He adds to it every season and, with one more win, will register his 19th consecutive non-losing season.

The Steelers moved to 8-6 on Monday with games scheduled at Detroit, at Cleveland, and home against Baltimore.
