The Steelers head coach welcomed the four-time MVP to his home

The Pittsburgh Steelers are on their final break of the summer until they report for training camp in roughly five weeks. Ahead of that, though, Aaron Rodgers hopes to spend time with his new teammates, saying he’ll be inviting several of them to work out in Malibu during the off period. On top of that, Rodgers and head coach Mike Tomlin recently had a cookout together.

According to Kelvin Reynolds of WBRC, Mike Tomlin hosted a catered barbecue for Aaron Rodgers and Steelers coaches at his home.

Both Rodgers and Tomlin have gone out of their way to talk about the mutual admiration and respect they have for one another over the years. In his introductory press conference following the Steelers’ first mini-camp practice, Rodgers said Tomlin was the main reason he came to Pittsburgh.

“It starts with Mike Tomlin,” Rodgers said. “I’ve been a fan of his for a long time...”

Rodgers should be spending as much time as he can with teammates and coaches alike. The more stuff like this, the better for the overall chemistry of the team ahead of training camp.
