Mike McDaniel may not be the head coach of the Miami Dolphins for much longer. The crowd at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday was not only frustrated to the point of boos, it was not very big.

There is no faster path to getting fired than low fan attendance.

We have seen this exact scenario play out in the NFL on multiple occasions. As soon as the fans stop showing up to games, the organization starts looking for heads to roll.

Hard Rock Stadium was half empty.

Hard Rock Stadium can fit a maximum capacity of 65,326. I would guess there was less than 30,000 people in the seats in time for the national anthem.

To be fair, there were still some stragglers at the tailgate in the parking lot. I would guess there were 35,000 fans in the crowd once the game got underway. About half full. Maybe.

Of those ~35K, a good chunk were rooting for the other side. There were a lot of Chargers fans!
