The Pittsburgh Steelers have entered the second round of their head coach interviews after interviewing nearly a dozen candidates to begin the process. Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and Minnesota Vikings defesnive coordinator Brian Flores are both set to meet with the team in person for second interviews. Additionally, former Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is set to meet with the team, per Tom Pelissero.

“Super Bowl-winning coach Mike McCarthy will interview Wednesday with the Steelers, per sources,” Pelissero reports. “McCarthy was a candidate for the Titans before withdrawing Monday morning and has turned down other inquiries. He’s focused on Pittsburgh, where he’s considered a strong candidate.”

McCarthy is from Pittsburgh, and he and Steelers general manager Omar Khan worked together with the New Orleans Saints.

McCarthy has a record of 174-112-2 and a playoff record of 11-11. From 2021-23, he led the Cowboys to three consecutive 12-win seasons and has 11 10-win seasons in his career.
