Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zack Baun picking off Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a pivotal moment during this year’s Super Bowl.
The second-quarter interception put the Eagles in prime field position to keep running up the score on Kansas City before halftime, making it harder for the Chiefs to get back into the contest.
Baun’s pick came soon after Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean’s incredible pick-6 on Mahomes, and the linebacker willed his upcoming turnover into existence beforehand while on the sideline.
“Imma get one,” Baun told his Philly teammates before making his prediction come true just a bit later in the game.
Baun had a sensational 2024 season, and his massive Super Bowl interception came with some pretty cool context in retrospect.
