Michael Jordan and Lawrence Taylor, two former athletes considered to be the GOATs of their respective sports, had a wholesome interaction on the golf course earlier this week.
MJ rolled up on LT at his exclusive golf club, The Grove XXIII, in Florida. And, fortunately, their interaction was caught on camera.
The former NBA superstar and six-time champion drove toward LT and his crew, getting off his cart to hug him and dap up everyone else. He wasted no time getting the trash talk on, pointing to Taylor’s casual slip-ons and saying, “You really been on a motherf**king relaxation since retirement!”
“So relaxed like a motherf**ker, man!” he said before driving off, drawing laughter from everyone.
Check it out in the video below:
“Them boys love to talk s**t,” one fan commented.
“Every celebrity that has met him says that he immediately starts talking s**t, no matter the setting,” another wrote.
“NFL did not change the rules to enhance LT’s game…… what you have her is an actual GOAT and a Kid,” someone else claimed, refuting the GOAT reference.
Michael Jordan and Lawrence Taylor have known each other for a very long time. They both attended the University of North Carolina, though not at the same time.
LT played football for the Tar Heels from 1977 to 1980 before getting drafted by the New York Giants. MJ started at UNC in 1981, remaining with the program until 1984.
They met after the two-time Super Bowl champion and three-time defensive player of the year returned to the university in the summer of 1981 to finish his degree.
He practiced with the basketball team during that time and is said to have guarded Jordan during scrimmages, fouling him repeatedly.
Clearly, the ex-linebacker’s constant fouls did not affect their friendship.
