Micah Parsons demanded a trade, and the NFL world has been going crazy ever since.
Parsons wrote in a Friday post on X that he had submitted a trade request to the Cowboys amid stalled contract extension negotiations. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports that the two sides are “far apart” and are not talking.
“Unfortunately, I no longer want to be here,” Parsons said in his social media post.
“I no longer want to be held to close door negotiations without my agent present. I no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured while laying it on the line for the organization, our fans, and my teammates. I no longer want narratives created and spread to the media about me.”
It is not yet clear if the Cowboys are seriously considering trading Parsons, but it has not stopped mock trades from happening.
In the wake of Parsons’ request, ESPN NFL analyst and former Jets GM Ryan Tannenbaum proposed an insane mock trade that would send Micah Parsons to the Buffalo Bills.
In return, the Cowboys would get running back James Cook, defensive tackle Ed Oliver, and two first-round picks.

This is the type of move that could help the Bills get over the hump in the playoffs an possibly make it to the Super Bowl.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday that he was “absolutely not” confident Parsons would play in Week 1. This could drag on for some time.
The potential of the Los Angeles Rams trading for Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons could be enough to get Aaron Donald out of retirement.
In a Wednesday comment on Instagram, Donald wrote that if Parsons went to the Rams, he might have to “get in football shape.”
“That Dline would be unreal,” Donald wrote.
Micah Parsons eventually responded, “Man!!! Don’t tell me info like that!!” before tagging his agent, David Mulugheta.
