The Miami Dolphins open their 2025 NFL regular season with a game against the Indianapolis Colts later this afternoon.

The Dolphins come into this season looking to put last year’s struggles behind them. After two playoff appearances to start head coach Mike McDaniel’s career, the team feel to 8-9 in 2024, missing the postseason and leading to a ton of negativity surrounding the team. This offseason, the front office updated the roster, the players took ownership of their actions, and the team said the right things. But now they have to back it up with actions on the field.

The Colts enter this season in a similar situation to Miami. They finished last year 8-9 and want to improve this season. They have benched 2023 fourth-overall draft pick, quarterback Anthony Richardson, turning the offense over to former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Will that be enough to spark a playoff run for the Colts? Or are they in the hunt for presumed top draft prospect, quarterback Arch Manning?
