Miami Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player | Week Six | Bright Spot
The Phinsider The Phinsider

The Miami Dolphins once again found themselves on the losing side of the scoreboard on Sunday, dropping their fifth game (in six tries) of the season by a score of 29-27 to the Los Angeles Chargers. Miami’s offense, while not perfect, gave the Dolphins the lead with less than a minute on the clock, however, it was the Dolphins defense that allowed Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense to march down the field and kick the game-winning field goal to dash the hopes of Dolphins fans around the nation.

While the result was disappointing, there were some quality individual performances on the day for Miami, so we shall crown an MVP — Most Valuable ‘Phin — anyway.

Miami Dolphins Week Six MVP – De’Von Achane

Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane becomes the first multi-time winner of the MVP award this season and that’s due to the fact that amongst a team of disappointments, Achane always seems to deliver.

On Sunday against the Chargers, Achane carried the ball 16 times for 128 yards — 8.0 yards per carry — while scoring twice. He also added four receptions for 22 yards. One of his touchdowns on the day was a beautiful 49-yard scamper down the sidelines where the third-year back showed off his electric speed.

Achane continues to produce big plays and exciting moments for Dolphins fans every time he suits up for the club — if only the rest of the team followed his example, Miami may not find themselves with a 1-5 record to start the 2025 NFL Season.
