Miami Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player | Week Fourteen | Sticky Hands
The Phinsider The Phinsider

The Miami Dolphins find themselves winners of four straight games and five out of their last six after defeating their division rivals, the New York Jets, by a score of 34-10 on Sunday. Mike McDaniel’s club traveled to chilly East Rutherford, New Jersey, and left little doubt which team was the better club, dominating the Jets in nearly every facet of the game en route to a season sweep of the team in green and white (or whatever ugly color New York was wearing this past Sunday).

Plenty of Dolphins players contributed greatly to the win, but only one can be recognized as my MVP — most valuable ‘Phin — of the week.

Miami Dolphins Week Fourteen MVP – CB Rasul Douglas

For the second straight week, a Dolphins defensive back takes home my MVP award, which is notable because of the hubbub surrounding the supposed deficiencies in that group ahead of the 2025 regular season. While the unit took some time to gel while mastering defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver’s scheme, their play as of late is a big reason why Miami is on a four game winning streak.

Veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas picked off a goal line pass from Jets rookie passer Brady Cook on Sunday, keeping the Dolphins three scores ahead of their rivals heading into halftime. Pro Football Focus gave Douglas a respectable 79.9 grade for the contest.

Sunday’s interception was the second pick Douglas has had in the Dolphins’ last two games — with the 31-year-old also picking off Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough last week. His stellar play will need to continue if Miami is going to knock off the Pittsburgh Steelers next Monday and get their record to an even .500.
