Miami Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player | Week Eleven | Miami’s Machine
The Phinsider The Phinsider

The Miami Dolphins had a tougher time of disposing of the Washington Commanders on Sunday than many fans would have liked after they had trounced the Buffalo Bills by seventeen points just a week prior. However, if you’re a true fan of football, you know that wins don’t often come easy in the National Football League, especially for our Dolphins.

However, the team now gets a bye week to reflect on their first eleven games in 2025, while preparing for the final six. That’s right. Only six more games to go — unless they can somehow defeat all of their remaining opponents while getting some help in the form of losses by AFC teams ahead of them in the standings in order to make the postseason. It’s highly, highly unlikely that those things happen, but there’s a chance — albeit a slim one.

Anyway, back to this past Sunday’s clash — and back to commending one of Miami’s best performers by awarding him the MVP (Most Valuable ‘Phin) award.

Miami Dolphins Week Eleven MVP – LB Jordyn Brooks

First, let me state that it was so tempting to give this award to cornerback Jack Jones. After all, without his interception on the second offensive play of overtime, we might be lamenting another missed opportunity for Miami all throughout the bye week.

However, one defensive player’s stellar game cannot go unnoticed, and that’s why Jordyn Brooks wins this week’s MVP award.

Brooks finished Sunday’s game against Washington with twenty tackles — TWENTY TACKLES!

That mark is just four tackles shy of the single game record (held jointly by David Harris of the New York Jets and Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers). No player in the National Football League has had more tackles in a single game this season. Furthermore, no player has more tackles overall in 2025 than Brooks’ 125 takedowns. Bobby Wagner of the Commanders is a distant second with 107.

In a season filled with disappointments, Jordyn Brooks has been a consistent bright spot for the Dolphins in 2025.
