The Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts have released their first injury reports of the 2025 NFL season as they prepare for a Week 1 meeting. The Dolphins head north to visit the Colts, with kickoff set for Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern. The injury reports are very different heading into the game.

The Colts enter the week with just one name on the report: running back Tyler Goodson. An elbow injury limited Goodson in Wednesday’s practice. Otherwise, the Colts seem healthy for their first game.

On the other sideline, the Dolphins are dealing with a myriad of injuries. A dozen players made the injury report on Wednesday, headlined by wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back De’Von Achane. Both players were limited in their workouts as Hill returns from an oblique and calf injury and Achane recovers from a calf issue.

Also limited for Miami on Wednesday were safety Ashytn Davis, who has a calf issue; wide receiever Dee Eskridge, who is working his way through the NFL’s concussion protocol; and offensive tackle Austin Jackson, who has a toe injury.

Miami did not have cornerback Ethan Bonner, tight end Darren Waller, or running back Jaylen Wright in practice on Wednesday. Bonner has a hamstring injury, Waller is dealing with a hip issue, and Wright has a knee problem.

Miami’s final four members of the Wednesday injury report were all full participants in the practice, but are dealing with some ailment. Cornerback Storm Duck has a hip injury, tight end Julian Hill has a shoulder issue, and safeties Ifeatu Melifonwu and Dante Trader, Jr., are both rehabbing hamstring issues.

The Dolphins will need several of these players to improve during the week, including Hill, Achane, and Jackson – all of whom are projected as starters. They also have to keep an eye on Duck’s situation as he will either start or be a key rotational cornerback for the team this year.

The next injury report will come out on Thursday, giving us a chance to see if there is any improvement from any of the players.
