Music City Miracles
The Tennessee Titans have had another meeting canceled. They were scheduled to have former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator in tomorrow for a second interview. That won’t happen now that the Miami Dolphins have hired Hafley to be their next head coach.
This is the third time in this cycle the Titans were scheduled to have a meeting with a coach, just to see him hired somewhere else the day before. It happened first with the New York Giants and John Harbaugh, and then it happened with the Atlanta Falcons and Kevin Stefanski. It seems like if the Titans really wanted either Stefanski or Hafley, they could have made a bigger push to keep them from going elsewhere.
We have not heard yet if the Titans have reached out to Sean McDermott. They probably won’t, so that means it is either going to be Matt Nagy or Robert Saleh who is going to be the next head coach here. It has felt like it was going to be Nagy all along. We could just be a few hours away from that becoming official.
