The Phinsider
The Miami Dolphins’ 2025 NFL season was a complete disappointment, with a team that should have been in contention for the playoffs falling to 7-10 by the end of the season. The Dolphins struggled to find any sort of identity throughout the season, moved on from their general manager in October, benched their starting quarterback in December, and looked completely out of sync throughout the year.
It was a rough season for Miami, but did have a high-point of a four-game winning streak, and they did finish the year 6-4 after a 1-6 start to the season. It was not all bad, but it was a rough year for the team and the fans. Our weekly SB Nation Reacts surveys reflected the issues with the team, ranging from as high as 65 percent of the fans thinking the team was headed in the right direction, but dropping to as low as just three present having positive feelings about the team – out all-time low.
With the season now complete, we once again asked for your confidence level of the team. Where does our fan confidence level stand?
Since the season ended, changes have continued in Miami, with the team firing its head coach and naming a new GM. But, our SB Nation Reacts poll was released before those moves. The next round of the survey will likely include the results of those moves. But, ahead of Mike McDaniel being let go as head coach and Jon-Eric Sullivan being named the GM, how were fans feeling?
As expected, they were not very positive. Heading into Week 18, 40 percent of the fans thought the team was headed in the right direction. After another loss – this time to AFC East division rivals and the 2025 division champion New England Patriots – the fan confidence plummeted to just 15 percent thinking Miami is headed in the right direction.
