Our Miami Dolphins finally kick off their 2025-2026 NFL schedule this afternoon when they travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts. The Phins will be looking for a bounce-back season following their disappointing 8- 9 record, leading to the team missing the playoffs. The Dolphins will also be looking to do what they couldn’t do last season, leading to the poor record, and stay healthy. Almost every Phin fan knows by now that this team offensively lives and dies via the health of starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and any hopes of the team moving forward and making it back to the playoffs will hinge on his staying healthy, leading to his weekly availability.
As for today’s opponent, the Indianapolis Colts, they also had a difficult 2024 season, ending with an identical 8-9 record. The team has now turned to former New York Giants starting quarterback Daniel Jones to be their starter this season. 2023 4th overall pick Anthony Richardson lost his starting job to Jones after a disappointing first two seasons in the NFL. The Colts, this season, will be looking to see what Jones has, with one eye looking forward to the quarterback talent that will be available in the NFL’s 2026 player draft.
