Las Vegas Raiders superstar Maxx Crosby, intentionally or not, may have set his team up for significant trouble with his latest social media activity.
Things have quickly turned ugly between the 28-year-old defensive end and the Raiders. On Friday, news emerged that Maxx Crosby left the Raiders’ facility after being told he would be shut down for their final two games.
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll later confirmed that Crosby left the facility. Carroll acknowledged that it was a tough discussion, but the Raiders determined that he’s not healthy enough to continue playing.
On Saturday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Crosby likely needs surgery that would sideline the five-time Pro Bowler “into the offseason.” He is now on the injured reserve, officially ending his season.

But on his Instagram story, Crosby posted photos and videos of himself playing basketball and jumping on a trampoline with his daughter.

As Bobby Skinner points out, the NFL could very well review this video footage of Maxx Crosby. And they could dock the Raiders of several draft picks.

The NFL is harsh on teams that give false injury reports.
In October, the NFL fined the Baltimore Ravens $100,000. This came after it was discovered that Lamar Jackson had been incorrectly listed as a full participant in practice. The next day, the Ravens ruled him out.
After a Dec. 2022 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints ($350,000), head coach Dennis Allen ($100,000), defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen ($50,000) and defensive end Cameron Jordan ($50,000) were all fined after the league accused Jordan of faking an injury. They all appealed and had their fines rescinded.
So, the Raiders better hold their breath and hope Crosby’s video post isn’t about to come back and bite them.
