Tom Brady has already unretired once, so what’s one more time?
The New England Patriots legend still appears to be in good shape, and videos of him throwing a football pop up every once in a while. So with that, another former NFL quarterback certainly thinks Brady is capable of playing in the league again.
“I think he could,” Matt Ryan said on the Dan Patrick Show at the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe on July 10. “I mean, I think the way he takes care of himself, he looks more fit now than he’s ever been. And I think the style with which he played leads to being able to play longer. Not moving around, not having to run and do all those different things.
“He can still throw it,” Ryan continued. “He could still spin it at the end.”
Anything is possible, especially when it comes to Brady, but it seems like he is in the next chapter of his life. He transitioned to broadcasting, signing a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX in 2022. Plus, he is also now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
And Brady will be honored at Gillette Stadium on August 8, with his statue set to be unveiled before the Patriots vs. Washington Commanders preseason game.
All of this certainly signals the end of one’s playing career.
But Brady has made some impressive comebacks in the past, and could be capable of another.
