The Green Bay Packers had injuries pile up throughout their loss to the Denver Broncos, including but not limited to receiver Christian Watson, right tackle Zach Tom, defensive end Micah Parsons, linebacker Quay Walker and safety Evan Williams, all of whom are starters on the team. The two most concerning injuries seemed to be to Watson and Parsons, who never returned to action after they went down.

Parsons is believed to have an ACL tear, per reports, but head coach Matt LaFleur wouldn’t specify what the team’s belief is of his non-contact knee injury. Instead, LaFleur noted simply that “it doesn’t look good.”

On the Watson end, LaFleur did confirm that the receiver did leave the stadium in an ambulance, which was reported previously. He couldn’t comment on whether Watson will stay overnight in Denver, but the belief seems to be that he broke a bone somewhere in his collarbone/sternum area, which is why it looked like he went down with a shoulder injury, but the team officially called it a chest injury. Bones broken in that area can sometimes impact a person’s breathing because of how close it is to the trachea.

We’re going to have to wait for further updates to learn about what Tom, Walker and Williams went through, as LaFleur wasn’t asked about those players in the press conference. For what it’s worth, Tom was replaced by Darian Kinnard while Williams was replaced by Zayne Anderson.
