In his post-game press conference, Green Bay Packers head coach said that he believes that safety Javon Bullard will be “okay” following a knee injury that knocked him out against the Minnesota Vikings. Bullard was forced into the lineup throughout the game due to the limited bodies that the Packers were able to sit on Sunday, just due to the high volume of injuries on the team already.

As of now, Green Bay has 17 players on the injury list, either the injured reserve or physically unable to perform lists. On top of that, quarterback Malik Willis (shoulder/hamstring), receiver Dontayvion Wicks (concussion) and right tackle Zach Tom (knee/back) all were inactive due to injuries today.

In total, the Packers had to make 23 roster moves in Week 18 just to try to keep their starters out of the game as much as possible. The team, ultimately, was only able to healthy scratch four players: running back Josh Jacobs, linebacker Quay Walker, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and safety Xavier McKinney.

With Zayne Anderson going on the IR this week and Xavier McKinney out, Green Bay had four safeties available for them in this game: Bullard, Evan Williams, Kitan Oladapo and Johnathan Baldwin. Because Oladapo was the team’s backup nickelback (with Nate Hobbs on IR), Bullard was forced to play safety snaps in nickel looks (along with Baldwin) to keep Williams on the bench.

Such is life when you’ve faced the year from hell on the injury front. Beyond Bullard, the only other player who was injured on Sunday was cornerback/receiver Bo Melton.

Update:

Bullard also says going to be okay.
