The Giants and Raiders have been eliminated from playoff contention for some time. However, both teams still had something to play for on Sunday against each other.

Las Vegas and New York are in a high-stakes “Tank Bowl” during Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. Both team front offices would love a loss in this game. They are vying for the coveted No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft due to their identical 2-13 records.

Amid the battle was some controversy. In the first half, a Giants player was blocking a Raiders player out of bounds. The Vegas player was pushed into the Gatorade, which caused a massive brawl as Giants players got up to join in.

SportsLine Projection Model has New York covering 52% of the model’s simulations to win.

Both teams have been part of fights in 2025.

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart took a bone-crushing hit from the Patriots and caused a brawl earlier this month. Christian Elliss delivered a big-time (and perfectly clean) hit to the rookie signal-caller. However, Giants players did not like it.

The Raiders players have been on their best behavior, but their fan base hasn’t. On the same day as the Giants fight, Las Vegas and Chargers fans fought each other in the stands.
