The Arizona Cardinals are… tanking hurting.
Jonathan Gannon announced today that the team would not get Kyler Murray back this season, but also had updates on a number of other players.
Marvin Harrison Jr. will miss this week due to a lingering heel issue that saw him struggling through, and eventually missing parts of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss.
On top of that, Trey Benson will not be activated this week, meaning unless they announce his activation next week, he will revert back to injured reserve and be done for the season as well.
It is really interesting that the Cardinals coaches, training staff have not been able to figure out this with multiple players over the last couple of seasons. So, will Benson be back, what was the injury and how bad was it? Why is he not progressing, was there a setback?
The continue ambiguity over injuries is one of the most frustrating aspects of the Jonathan Gannon era. Yet, they seemed content to ride with the running backs in house, and then barely use them, so was this just because they assumed Benson would get healthy?
Anyways, this should be fun this weekend… right?
