Mark Robinson and Kobee Minor reverted to the New England Patriots’ practice squad on Monday after serving as standard elevations against the Miami Dolphins.

The 33-27 AFC East win at Hard Rock Stadium saw the linebacker as well as the cornerback check in on special teams.

Robinson, 26, played 12 snaps in the kicking game and recorded his third tackle of September in punt coverage. He previously had been called up for a core role in the opener versus the Las Vegas Raiders. The 5-foot-11, 235-pound linebacker signed to the practice squad in Foxborough heading into Labor Day weekend.

After stops at Presbyterian, Southeast Missouri State and Ole Miss, Robinson entered the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2022 draft at No. 225 overall. Through 40 career games, he’s had a hand in 48 tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles and four starts on defense.

Minor, 23, made his NFL debut with a pair of snaps on the punt return unit in Miami Gardens. Selected in the seventh round of April’s draft at No. 257 overall, “Mr. Irrelevant” had led all Patriots cornerbacks in defensive snaps during his rookie preseason. He was waived at the league’s 53-man roster deadline on the way to being retained on the practice squad at its formation.

A Memphis transfer by way of Indiana and Texas Tech, Minor appeared in 45 collegiate games dating back to 2020. The 5-foot-11, 188-pounder’s final fall included 38 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and six passes defensed.

Three standard elevations are permitted per season before a move to the active roster would be required to take the field.

The 1-1 Patriots currently carry an open spot on the 53 following last week’s waiving of cornerback D.J. James.
