The Bears won a wild game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and we talk about all of it with the great Patrick Mannelly!
There were plenty of great topics discussed, including the rollercoaster on Sunday, Caleb Williams’ performance, the culture Ben Johnson is building, and much more. We also received Patrick’s expert analysis on the special teams, and he has plenty of criticisms for how the unit performed on Sunday and throughout most of this season.
But Patrick had some really great commentary on the offensive line and how well they are playing.
“There’s a reason they’ve run for over 250 yards each of the last two games,” Mannelly said. “Up front, all 5 guys are just knocking the hell out of guys. It’s fun. It’s O-Line porn. It’s one where you go into that O-Line meeting and you walk out and you’re smoking a cigarette and you are just thinking, ”Holy cow, man!“ That was fun to watch; they’re knocking the hell out of guys, it was fun to watch, and a lot of it has to do with Theo [Benedet]. Theo can get better in pass blocking, he needs to… but Theo for where he’s come from and what he’s been asked to do has done a heck of a job.”
