On Sunday, the (6-10) Kansas City Chiefs are on the road at Allegiant Stadium, taking on the (2-14) Las Vegas Raiders. Let’s see how the game plays out in Madden NFL 26.
The Kansas City Chiefs receive the opening kickoff from the Las Vegas Raiders and pick up one first down on a pass over the middle to JuJu Smith-Schuster. On the ensuing set of downs, the offense stalls, and the opening drive ends with a Matt Araiza punt.
The Chiefs’ defensive front, led by Chris Jones, comes out firing. After a tackle for loss on the opening play of the Raiders’ drive, Jones brings down Smith for a sack on second down. Las Vegas is forced to punt, setting the tone early for a field-position battle.
Raiders pass rusher Charles Snowden gets to Chris Oladokun, but it doesn’t rattle the quarterback. On the very next play, Oladokun lollipops a 60-yard pass to Smith-Schuster, who hauls it in single-covered at the two-yard line and walks into the end zone.
The Raiders answer by moving the ball efficiently down the field and into the red zone. From 17 yards out, Ashton Jeanty goes untouched into the end zone to tie the game.
Before the quarter comes to an end, Oladokun finds the open receiver Xavier Worthy on a slant and takes a massive hit by Devin White. The contact jars the football loose, and the Raiders recover the fumble to close out the opening quarter.
End of first quarter: Chiefs 7, Raiders 7
With the turnover to end the quarter, the Raiders open the second quarter with excellent field position. It takes just three plays for Geno Smith to loft a 38-yard touchdown pass into the back of the end zone, where Tre Tucker is waiting to give Las Vegas 14 unanswered points.
The Chiefs’ offense goes three-and-out on the ensuing possession.
On the Raiders’ next drive, Smith misses a wide-open receiver, throwing the ball behind Tucker and directly into the hands of cornerback Nohl Williams for the interception.
The Chiefs capitalize immediately. Kareem Hunt absorbs three hits and powers his way eight yards into the end zone to tie the game.
Facing fourth-and-two inside the Chiefs’ 25-yard line, the Raiders elect to go for it. Out of the shotgun, Smith keeps the ball on the read option but is swallowed up by the Chiefs’ defense for a turnover on downs.
The Chiefs are unable to generate points before halftime and punt the ball back to Las Vegas.
Daniel Carlson then drills a 53-yard field goal as time expires, sending the Raiders into the locker room with the lead.
End of second quarter: Raiders 17, Chiefs 14
The Raiders punt to open the quarter.
Chris Oladokun finally connects with Travis Kelce for a first down and then some, as Kelce powers his way to 23 yards after the catch. Oladokun follows it up by hitting Hollywood Brown on an...
