With the Madden cover officially released this past week, fans of the video game were wondering what else would happen. Philadelphia Eagles fans, and NFL fans in general, will get a new feature this season when they play Madden 27. That is because the long-time video game will add the Eagles’ infamous Tush Push to its playbook, according to the Madden NFL X account.
“Your first look at Madden 27. Full #Madden reveal tonight at 8 PM ET,” Madden wrote on X.
The tush push has become the norm in the NFL, with many teams implementing it. While the Eagles originated it, it has become part of many teams’ playbooks, including the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Francisco 49ers. Unsurprisingly, all of those teams have quarterbacks who can run.
In the past, Madden players did not have the option of a Tush Push. Instead, they had to resort to other moves, such as the QB Sneak, which occasionally worked. But it would also not have the same impact as the Tush Push would. Although the Tush Push has failed in real life at times, it has mostly been a highly successful move, giving players a potential cheat code when they play with their friends this season.
This will be the 39th installation in the Madden franchise. Originally named after legendary coach John Madden, the video game has gone through many changes over the years and has been the go-to game for NFL fans. While the NFL legend passed away four years ago, his legacy will remain as people continue to play the video game that bears his name.
