Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it’s the Steelers’ new throwback uniforms, which were unveiled on Monday.
The Steelers are paying tribute to the 1933 team, which was the first in team history, by wearing uniforms inspired by their inaugural uniforms. The Steelers have worn them once before, in 1994. This is an updated version, with modern front numbers and a new gold matte helmet.
