The Los Angeles Rams are trying to get ready for their most important game of the season. However, everything is not going according to plan.

Their flight to Seattle for Thursday night’s game against the Seahawks was delayed. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the plane was experiencing an issue with its equipment. Because of that, it pushed back their takeoff time.

Schefter further added that the flight was expected to be “significantly delayed.” It was so bad that the team explored alternate travel plans to avoid any further delays.

He further announced that Sean McVay had to travel separately for their last game. That was due to his not wanting to get anyone sick. McVay’s wife is fresh off giving birth to their second child.

The Los Angeles Rams still had more than enough time to get to Washington before kickoff. However, it does not make it any less annoying.

Hours later, they overcame their delayed flight before Thursday’s game in Seattle. It was decided that the Rams would travel separately to Seattle. Players and coaches will leave on a flight first, followed by staff members later.

The Los Angeles Rams are Fighting For First Place

Los Angeles and Seattle both head into the “TNF” matchup with 11-3 records. This is a huge game for multiple reasons. The winner will take sole possession of the West. They will also slide into the No. 1 seed in the NFC standings.

While the Rams currently hold the tiebreaker, Seattle can still put itself in the driver’s seat. Following the game, there will be just two weeks remaining in the regular season. The winner can have a bye week in the postseason. That also comes with home-field advantage in the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Rams enter the divisional clash with the NFL’s No. 2 scoring offense. They average 30.0 points per game. Seattle boasts the league’s No. 2 scoring defense. They give up 17.3 points on a weekly basis.

Kickoff for the big “Thursday Night Football” matchup with the Seahawks is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
