Welcome back to Loose Feathers, where we round-up recent minor news items about the Ravens! The spring is scarce on updates, but let’s get into the latest!
The Ravens’ mandatory minicamp featured three players working out for the team: center Christian Hilborn, tight end Caden Prieskorn, and linebacker Josh Josh Woods.
Hilborn started 46 games at Washington over the last four years: 21 at left guard, 14 at right tackle, seven at left tackle, and two at right guard. The undrafted free agent signing surrendered 54 pressures and eight sacks in 2022 and 2023 (4.5% pressure rate), but just one sack and 28 pressure over his final two college seasons (3.9% pressure rate). His physical profile is only average for a tackle (6.90 Relative Athletic Score), but his size especially will play better as a guard (8.15 RAS) in the pros. Realistically, Hilborn is likely no more than camp body, though his versatility and starting experience offer some upside.
Prieskorn, a 2025 UDFA, spent spring practices with the Lions and training camp with the Broncos last year. During the season, he spent a few weeks on the Buccaneers’ practice squad before moving to Cleveland for most of the year. The Browns signed Prieskorn to a reserve/futures contract in January but waived him before OTAs. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound tight end made four catches for 59 yards and a touchdown during the 2025 preseason with strong blocking grades (via Pro Football Focus), but got no chances during the regular season. He also profiles as training camp depth for a Ravens tight end room that currently has just five players (plus fullback Lucas Scott).
Woods, 29, is a Baltimore native and former Maryland Terp with seven NFL seasons, 82 games, and 2,050 total snaps under his belt. 63% of his playing time has come on special teams with just 17 defensive snaps for the Falcons in the last two years. In 2025, Woods earned a solid 72.6 special teams grade from Pro Football Focus with 10 total tackles (one missed); both numbers ranked second on the team. The Ravens (read: John Harbaugh) previously had a soft spot for former UDFA linebackers-turned-special teams aces – Kristian Welch, Jaelan Phillips – but Woods’ path to a roster spot may be much more difficult under Jesse Minter.
The United Football League’s 2026 season wrapped up last week with the Louisville Kings defeating the DC Defenders in the United Bowl by a score of 27-20. Former Ravens quarterback and Louisville native Chris Redman serves as the head coach for the Kings with four teammates from Baltimore’s 2000 Super Bowl team in assistant roles. Wide receiver Tony Banks, linebacker Brad Jackson, and defensive back Chris McAlister all coach the positions they once played, while linebacker Jamie Sharper is the Kings’ defensive coordinator.
