The Carolina Panthers are watching the NFL from the sidelines today as they prepare for tomorrow night’s Monday Night Football match up against the San Francisco 49ers. But that doesn’t mean we have nothing to root for today.
Somehow, the Panthers are in the mix for both a wildcard berth and the NFC South crown as we enter the last six weeks of the 2025 regular season. Rooting for the Rams against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is easy, but we’ve also got wildcard scenarios to imagine today. Carolina is in ninth place in the NFC and they need to reach at least seventh to qualify for a wildcard playoff berth. That means rooting against the Detroit Lions (vs New York Giants today), the 49ers, the Green Bay Packers (vs Minnesota Vikings today), and the Seattle Seahawks (at the Tennessee Titans today).
